Here I learned how to do the clone feature in Windows Movie Maker. You can learn how I did it here: (Clone Feature in Movie Maker)
I created this using http://xtranormal.com. I "borrowed" the flv file to make some minor changes in Movie Maker. Go get yourself some Bauer-Power gear! http://gear.bauer-power.net
In this video episode of Bauer-Power, Sundance and I have a new opening sequence to go along with our ... top ten list of free video editors.

This is Brendan... This is Brendan in footie pajamas.... This is Brendan in footie pajamas drunk off his ass! Any questions?
Brendan is one of my coworkers. Sometimes his drinking gets out of hand...
Sundance and I filmed episode 5 of Bauer-Power today as well as a newer exciting opening sequence. We generally were able to film everything in one take with the exception of the following little gem that I am about to share with all of you.
You see, Sundance isn't the best runner in the world, nor is he the most athletic. That is okay, as he readily admits it. In the following scene he is supposed to run and jump off a flower bed to get a freeze frame action shot for the opening credits. His jump was good, but he just couldn't stick the landing. Enjoy!
With the way the media and the celebrities are acting over Obama's inauguration, you would think that no other president in history has ever had an inauguration ceremony. I did vote for the man, but I think the way the media is treating the event is ridiculous.
By the way, I made this using xtranormal.com
I needed yet another commercial to use for a Bauer-Power video, so I decided to do one for my "Powered By Ubuntu" stickers I have been giving away for free.
In this I play both Linux, and PC. I tried to do the cloaning effect, but I didn't give myself room, and I didn't do the voice timing correctly to overlay the audio. Oh well, live and learn:
The wifey is out of town visiting her aunt up in San Francisco this week, so you know what that means? That's right, Sundance and I can transform my apartment into an IPTV studio and film some kick ass geeky shiznite for all of you!
We have some big plans for the next episode or two, so you don't want to miss this. To kind of give you a taste, I made this little teaser for you:
Everything is happening like I said...well, except the hot chicks mud wrestling. That's neither here nor there though. Check back next week at Bauer-Power for some cool geeky goodness!
In this video I wanted to try to do a light saber effect using Windows Movie Maker. It is pretty hard, because you have to convert each frame to a jpeg, then manually edit the light saber for each from in Gimp, Photoshop, MSPaint etc, then re-animate each picture.
This is yet another hard to find online SNL video clip from Halloween time in 2008. I ripped it for my friend's blog. This stars Will Forte as a sex offender who goes to his neighbor's house trick-or-treating, as well as getting his neighbor to sign an acknowledgment form stating the Will's character has informed him that a sex offender lives in the neighborhood. Its pretty morbid, but oh so funny!
This video is taken from a security camera at one of my company's remote offices in Kennewick Washington. This burglary took place on December 26th at approximately 5:00AM. If you have any information, we would appreciate if you gave the Kennewick Police department a tip at (509) 585-4208.
This obviously isn't once of my videos, as it was done by NBC's Saturday Night Live, but it is however one of those hard to find videos online. I decided to go ahead and hook those of you searching for it up by placing it on my blog here.
This is a spoof video of Beyonce's All The Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It) video, and features Justin Timberlake. The embed code is available below:

In this episode of Bauer-Power, Sundance calls in sick, so I went solo with my new green screen talking ... about the top ten geeky things to help you with your new years resolutions.
This is probably the best episode yet, where Sundance and I talked about the top ten places to shop for geeky Christmas stuff:
In this episode, Sundance and I head to the out doors because we had no other place to shoot. We shot this at a local park... and decided not to do this again.
Here is episode 1 of Bauer-Power. Sundance and I decided to shoot this "Diggnation style" just for the simplicity of it. Two guys, sitting on a couch drinkin' beer, talking tech. What could be better right?
Much like my Bauer-Power Gear commercial, this is a commercial I created for the beginning of my Bauer-Power videos. This one advertises my own custom Linux distro called Bauer-Puntu.
I got in a little hot water with the wife for the girls in this video, but I assure you my intentions were innocent. I just wanted to make a funny commercial. I hope you enjoy it. As of the time of this writing, this video has almost 800 views on Youtube:
So I have been watching a lot of Beyonce's (All The Single Ladies) video lately. Mainly for two reasons:
- Beyonce is hot
- She and the other girls are really great dancers
It really is no wonder why her video, and her song are so popular. I decided to put together a quick video showing why I think her video is so highly viewed:
I bought my wife an iRobot Roomba 400 vacuum from Target this Christmas. My wife and I both love it. It cleans really well, and frees us up to do other things. My daighter on the other hand, was a little scared of it at first. Here is a video I made showing how she felt about the robot vacuum:
Here is a commercial I made for my Bauer-Power Gear. I needed a "sponsor" commercial at the beginning of my Bauer-Power video episodes to make it look a little more like a real IPTV show. That is until we get real sponsors :-)
The sound is rather low on this one, so you may need to turn the volume up (Sorry about that):
For New Years eve my wife, daughter and I went to our church to attend their annual talent show and dinner. I also participated with my wife's cousin in doing a magic act for the talent show. One of the tricks I made using some card board, coffee can, and some festive decorations. Take a look at my home made "Chinese Box":
